A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, started rapping at the young age of 9 in Harlem, New York.
His very first mixtape was released in 2011. Live. Love. A$AP was made in Brooklyn with a group of rappers, directors and producers known as the A$AP Mob.
Rocky made his network TV debut in August 2012.
Rocky’s first studio album was a hit, topping the Billboard 200 charts and earning him his first double-platinum record.
While on tour, Rocky was involved in a physical altercation in Stockholm that landed him in prison. He was convicted of assault and released after a month.
The longtime friends teamed up to promote Rihanna’s brand, Fenty Skin, in August 2020. Their chemistry was off the charts.
