Zach & Tori Roloff's Love Story in Photos
Two months after his twin brother Jeremy proposed to his girlfriend, Little People, Big World's Zach Roloff, 23, popped the question to Tori Patton, 22 — and she said yes! It's been a brilliant 24 hours," he wrote on Facebook in May 2014, "and [we're] totally excited for what the future holds."
THE BEST DAY
On July 25, 2015, in front of nearly 200 guests, Zach and Tori tied the knot. The pair said "I do" outside on the Roloff family farm in Oregon, the same place his twin brother and best man Jeremy had his wedding the September prior. "It's a big day," Zach told PEOPLE ahead of his nature-themed, traditional ceremony. "We're marrying, coming together, committing ourselves to one another for a lifetime in front of all of our family and friends. We're just super excited!"
It was a happy day for all, including Zach's parents Amy and Matthew Roloff. Though the couple was going through a divorce at the time, they put their differences aside and came together for their son. "My parents played a huge role in setting up the farm, making it all nice," said Zach. Added Tori, "Matt planted a bunch of wheat fields behind the gazebo. There's like these huge rolling hills of wheat, which are really beautiful."
IS IT TIME?
In November 2016, Zach and Tori shared exciting news: they're expecting! "I'll be a fun, hands-on dad, but also the disciplinarian," says Zach when expressing the couple's excitement. "Tori will be a loving mother hen." In January, the two threw a gender reveal party for 50 family members and friends, finding out together that baby-to-be was a boy.
BUMP IN THE ROAD?
Though she had a healthy pregnancy, Tori was concerned about whether or not her son would be born with dwarfism. "It's a big deal," she said on an episode of Little People, Big World. "It is scary. No parent wants to hear that their child is different, no matter what that is." "But to me, that's not different," said Zach. "He's just like me!" (Though Zach's parents both have dwarfism, his three siblings do not.)
At one particular ultrasound, the couple was told "all the limbs are measuring below average." But "whatever pops out, we're going to love it," said Tori.
BABY MAKES THREE
On Mother's Day, May 14, 2017, the couple announced Jackson Kyle Roloff's arrival. The new addition weighed in at 9 lbs., 1 oz., and 20.5-in. long. "Baby and mother are doing great and Jackson is already mastered holding daddy's fingers and snuggling with mom! He is adorable and Tori and I are loving being parents," Zach said.
The baby bliss will continue for the family later this year when Jeremy and his wife Audrey welcome their baby girl.
Officially introducing Jackson in PEOPLE, Zach said of parenthood, "We knew we were leaving our previous life behind, but we were okay with that. We’re not doing things on our schedule anymore. We’re on Jackson time!"
He also shared that his son, like him, was born with achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism. The couple found out at 34 weeks, though chose to keep the diagnosis private until after Jackson's birth. “Whatever he wants to do in life, we’re going to find a way to help him do it. That’s our job in life now," Zach added.
THE LITTLEST FAN
"because it's never too early to start 'em off right," Tori captioned a June 3 pic of Jackson in his Seahawks garb, adding, #isitfootballseasonyet?
A June peek into Jackson's nursery revealed printed bedding and a stuffed dog that resembles the couple's late pup, Sully.
Happy 1 month birthday, Jackson! Tori posted a pic of her little man on June 13, adding some updates: loves watching soccer, hates having his diaper changed.
