'First Day Back at the Inn': See the First Photo from the Set of the Gilmore Girls Revival
The beloved dramedy, which originally ran from 2000-2007, will return to Netflix for a four-episode run, each installment titled after a different season
Yanic Truesdale, best known to fans as lovably persnicketty inn manager Michel, shared an on-set photo Friday night with Gilmore star Lauren Graham.
“First day back at the Inn with my old boss. Fun times!” Truesdale, 45, wrote.
The beloved dramedy, which originally ran from 2000-2007, will return to Netflix for a four-episode run, each installment titled after a different season.
Original Gilmore creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who departed before the series’ final season, will write and direct each episode with her husband, fellow original producer Daniel Palladino.
“We haven’t even started shooting and I haven’t even seen any of the scripts. So, all I can tell you is it is because of you, the devoted fans that I get to revisit this character and go back to this world,” Graham, 48, said. “And we are all so excited and so thankful.”
Who Is Lauren Graham’s Favorite Parenthood Costar?
Edward Herrmann, who played grandfather Richard Gilmore, died in 2014 – an absence the new episodes will address, Sherman-Palladino has said.
What’s still unclear is if Melissa McCarthy, who played Graham’s best friend throughout the series’ original run and whose career has skyrocketed in the years since, will return.
“Thanks for the invite, but sadly no one asked me or Sookie to come back to Stars Hollow. Wish them all the best!!” McCarthy, 45, tweeted on Tuesday.
