Either it’s a painful case of bait-and-switch, or CBS really wants us to think that Charlie Sheen will be back for the Two and a Half Men series finale.

What got our hopes up? The network released the title for the hour-long series finale that’s set for Thursday, Feb. 19.

It’s called “Of Course He’s Dead – Part One and Part Two.”

Naturally, we’re left to guess if Sheen will truly make the surprise comeback that he’s teased on and off over the last few months. Beyond vague promises about “surprise guest stars,” CBS won’t elaborate on the series’ finale at the conclusion of the comedy’s 12th season.

Show creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre hasn’t exactly shot down the possibility. Last month, the über-producer told reporters that he has “nothing but good feelings about those eight and half years” he worked with Sheen.

“The show has morphed into something else entirely for the last four years to something we love,” added Lorre, in reference to the casting addition of Ashton Kutcher. “How to honor both [eras] is the challenge of this finale, and the other challenge [is] how to get people to watch it without telling them what it is.”

The Two and a Half Men‘s series finale airs at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
