To Whitney Port, being married is nothing short of “cozy and warm and comforting.”

“I think the best part [of being married] is just kind of that unspoken security that you get from it,” Port told PEOPLE at the FabFitFun Tea Party in Beverly Hills Wednesday, where she showed off her Whitney Eve fingerless gloves, which are featured in the company’s Winter Box. “You just know that you have that person no matter what and there’s just this level of comfort that you feel facing anything.”

The former The Hills star and Whitney Eve designer tied the knot with producer Tim Rosenman on Nov. 7 in Palm Springs, California in a “pretty big” wedding with about 200 guests.

“[Being married is] kind of a refresher to the relationship,” says Port. “I don’t think it’s changed our relationship, but there’s definitely something to be said about that first year being a newlywed and just getting really excited and giddy about everything.”

And while it seems as if it were just yesterday that Port and her close pal Lauren Conrad were pursuing their dream careers at Vogue and chatting about all things fashion and boys, Port says “it is crazy” that the majority of her friends are now married.

“We’ve all grown up so much,” Port says of her The Hills and The City costars. “I actually ran into Olivia [Palermo] at the Golden Globes after party on Sunday night and she was saying that she’s been married for two years and I couldn’t believe it!”

She continues, “We’re all pretty much 30 now and I’m so happy for everyone. Everyone seems like they’ve just found that right person and it’s really exciting.”

As the saying goes, “then comes the baby in the baby carriage ”

“Definitely in the near future, but nothing that I’m really planning,” Port says of wanting a “maximum of three” children with Rosenman one day soon. “It’s one of those things where you’re never fully gonna be ready for it like you can’t plan those things, but we’re enjoying life with just the two of us now, but we definitely both want kids.”
