The cast of Glee turned up the heat Tuesday with the highly anticipated Britney Spears-themed episode.

On the show, members of the glee club have Britney on the brain, and fantasize about being the pop star – thanks to the anesthesia provided by Dr. Howell, the hot dentist played by John Stamos, as he treats a few dentally challenged students.

First, Brittany (Heather Morris) performed “I’m a Slave 4 U,” complete with a sparkling bodysuit, a belly-baring outfit and a white snake. She also returned to the dentist’s office with fellow Cheerio Santana, to combine fantasies and perform a rocking rendition of “Me Against the Music,” with Santana singing Madonna‘s part. Spears herself even made a cameo in the fantasy, with Brittany telling the pop star, “You’re really hot … and your breath smells really good.”

Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale), who is still recovering from being dumped by Tina, also visited the dentist (he could brush better if he could see the mirror, Artie says). Under anesthesia, Artie brought fantasy football to another level, dreaming of himself on the field in his wheelchair, pads and a jersey as he performed a defiant version of “Stronger.”

Spears also inspired Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) to shed her prim outfits and connect with her inner naughty schoolgirl. Rachel, who claimed she “flossed between classes,” visited Dr. Feelgood and saw herself in pigtails and a short, school-uniform skirt, belting out “… Baby One More Time.”

Perhaps the biggest surprise, though, came from Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison), who decided to join New Directions for an inappropriately sexy version of “Toxic” during a school assembly. The result was a “Britney Spears sex riot,” according to cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), who pulled the fire alarm to dampen the adolescent flames started by the sizzling song and dance number.
