Following the death of TV and stage actress Dixie Carter on Saturday morning, Annie Potts remembered her Designing Women costar as “beautiful and brainy, smart and funny, prim and sexy, wickedly talented and divinely sweet.” Carter’s fans will remember her as Julia Sugarbaker, the classy and sassy southern doyenne. With her hand on her hip and her shoulder pads held straight, Julia didn’t suffer fools and had a tendency to cut them down to size in one of her memorable diatribes. And fans loved it!
