There’s a new sheriff, uh shark, in town.

Prepare yourself for what’s to come on CNBC’s West Texas Investors Club. Without giving too much away, this Club has bit of a Shark Tank feel with a Texas twang.

The eight-episode series takes place in the heart of Texas, the land where self-made millionaires Rooster McConaughey and Butch Gilliam built their fortunes. These two men have decided to pass on their success by investing in some ambitious entrepreneurs. However, what these entrepreneurs don’t know is, McConaughey and Gilliam want to know more than the balance sheets, numbers and product. They want to dig deep into the heart and soul of each individual before welcoming them on board.

These two millionaires are bound to grab your hearts and leave you with a few tears … of laughter! They play with the high-stakes boundaries of success while using down-home humor at the same time.

Though McConaughey claims, “I was going to invent the Facebook, but the technology part of it was not my forte,” the group decides to invest in an app and, as McConaughey puts it, become “high-tech summabitches.”

And that’s all without mentioning that McConaughey drops some serious pearls of wisdom, including, “We’re going to have to stop drinking beer during these negotiations.” Words to live by, sir.

West Texas Investors Club premieres Aug. 4 at 10 p.m. ET on CNBC.
