Wendy Williams is single — and she might be ready to mingle.

While hosting the Wendy Williams Show live on Wednesday, Williams joked that she’s been getting plenty of attention following her split from husband and manager Kevin Hunter, who allegedly fathered a child with his mistress.

“The invitations for social events just keep pouring into my phone. They really do,” she said. “I was minding my own business last night, I was reading my book. All of a sudden my cell phone rings and it’s DJ Boof, asking me out for dinner.”

The camera then panned to Boof, who DJs her talk show, as he smiled and shook his head.

“Just at that time, I got a knock at my door — my foie gras and Ting were delivered,” Williams said. “So I’m like, Boof or food? Both, right.”

“I set up my meal while I told Boof, ‘I’ll see you over the weekend, pick me up on time,’ ” she continued. “Then I get back to reading my book and my phone rings again.”

This time, Williams said it was Breakfast Club radio host Charlamagne tha God. Williams, 54, and Charlamagne, 38, have known each other for years and used to work together. In 2006, they briefly starred in The Wendy Williams Experience on VH1, which chronicled the two co-hosting their radio show.

“Charlamagne wanted to take me out for dinner,” Williams said. “He says the night and he says the time and I said, ‘I can’t go, I’m going out with Boof for dinner.’ So Charlamagne says, ‘Well, I know Boof, why don’t we both take you out?’ “

“So I’ve got a double date,” she added with a laugh.

Williams filed for divorce from Hunter last week after 21 years of marriage. Her personal rep issued a statement to PEOPLE, saying, “Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time. Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together. No additional comment will be provided at this time.”

On Tuesday, Hunter broke his silence on the split in a statement to PEOPLE, admitting he was “not proud of my recent actions” and apologizing “to my wife, my family and her amazing fans.”

“I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs,” he said. “No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine.”

A source who has spent time with Williams since the breakup told PEOPLE that the daytime host believes Hunter’s alleged affair has been going on for more than a decade.

“Wendy is telling people she had no idea he had been having an affair, but when she found out the details, it turned out he had been seeing the woman he had a baby with for 15-16 years,” the source said. “That made her realize it was time to move forward with her life. Seek treatment and move on. She’s not taking him back.”

“It’s hard after being married for so long and having a family together, to be able to move forward,” added the source of Williams, who shares son Kevin Jr., 19, with Hunter. “But she realized she had to open her eyes to a bad marriage. So many stick around when they should get out.”

Reps for Williams and Hunter did not return PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

The source also said Williams would be firing Hunter as her manager. (He’s has had an executive producer title for The Wendy Williams Show since it debuted in 2008 and the two also share a production company, Wendy Williams Productions.)

Charlamagne commented on the news Tuesday on Instagram, posting a screenshot of a headline about the couple and captioning it, “Never bite the hand that feeds your side chick……”

The split comes at a challenging time for the star. After taking an extended hiatus from The Wendy Williams Show from January to March, Williams, who has long been open about a past addiction to cocaine, revealed last month that she has been living in a sober house.

On Monday’s broadcast of The Wendy Williams Show, Williams said she would “moving out of the sober house in just a few days” and alluded to her divorce, saying she has a “whole new life” planned for her and her son.

“Addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head-on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life,” she said. “I have a commitment to me and my son to come out of here better, stronger and faster than ever.”

The Wendy Williams Show airs weekdays (check local listings).
