The beauty of life is in the smallest details, and TLC’s new series Our Little Family relishes in those minute-to-minute treasures.

In an exclusive sneak peek of the series, we meet Dan and Michelle Hamill as they get ready for the day with their son Jack, 6, and their twins Cate and CeCe, 3, whom they lovingly describe as “very high-maintenance.”

So what’s so special about the Hamills? They’re all little people.

“What’s unique about our family is that we are all small, and we all have the most common form of dwarfism, which is achondroplasia,” says the four-foot-tall Michelle (Dan measures up to a “massive” 4’3″).

The Hamill children are particularly extraordinary, especially the twins: “It’s really rare that two little people have twins, especially that the twins are both little,” explains Michelle.

“Usually when two little people have twins, one’s little, and one’s average. But we were lucky enough that both of them are little.”

What is beyond measure is the Hamill family’s love for one another, which the series will see through every moment of the day – even when, as Jack admits, “mom’s food tastes bad.”

Our Little Family premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
