She ain’t no hollaback girl, but Gwen Stefani is a welcome throwback at the Video Music Awards.

The star made her first VMA appearance since 2005 on Sunday night, looking amazing as ever in a bright pink peplum top and matching pants from her own LAMB Couture label.

“Yeah, I whipped this one up last night in my closet,” Stefani, 44, joked on the red carpet. “Sewing away all morning on the 405.”

Though the blonde beauty hasn’t aged a day, a lot has changed since 2005, when she ruled the charts with hits “Rich Girl,” “Cool” and, naturally, “Hollaback Girl.” She also wasn’t a hot mom of three yet: Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale welcomed their first child, Kingston James McGregor, in 2006, followed by sons Zuma Nesta Rock in 2008 and Apollo Bowie Flynn in February.

“I never know what’s gonna happen next!” she told MTV when asked if she’d be hitting the stage again anytime soon. “I didn’t know I was gonna have a baby, I didn’t know I was gonna be on The Voice, I didn’t know I was gonna be writing new music, so I’m just like, what’s gonna be next?”
