Uncle Buck‘s stay is over, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed.

The ABC comedy starring Mike Epps will not return for a second season, as Tuesday night’s episode will serve as the series finale.
Originally ordered to series in May 2015, Uncle Buck, based on the 1989 John Hughes film starring John Candy, was held on the bench throughout the entire traditional 2015 16 TV season and didn’t launch until June.

James Lesure, one of the show’s stars, broke the news Wednesday on Twitter.

“Disappointed,” he tweeted. “No more @ABCUncleBuck. Cancelled. Thankful.”

He continued, “Proud of what we’ve done. Thx 4 let us entertain u.”
