Talk about being hot for teacher!

While on a panel discussing her hit Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, actress Ellie Kemper gushed about her high school drama teacher – Jon Hamm.

“He was not ugly,” Kemper, 35, told reporters of Hamm at the Television Critics Association panel on Tuesday. “He was a wonderful teacher.”

Hamm, 44, had attended Kemper’s high school and returned from college to teach for a year, the actress said.

“I was in ninth grade and he taught me the improv section of my theater class, and everyone loved him,” she said.

Years later, they had a high school reunion of sorts when Hamm was cast on Kimmy Schmidt as Rev. Richard Wayne Gary Wayne.

“When they told us that he would be playing the reverend, it was fantastic. But I was a little scared,” Kemper said. “I think there’s still a teacher-student dynamic, and acting with him was a little bit nerve-racking just because I felt like he was still grading me on some level. But he’s a wonderful man and it was a lot of fun.”

Season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will come to Netflix next spring.
