•A Gossip Girl insider claimsthat Blair’s henchwomen, Kati and Isabel, are models who were cast as sight gags after the network claimed they couldn’t find any black or Asian girls who were funny. And yes, these are the same geniuses who couldn’t find any actual teens to star in the show.

•NBC has picked up the Web-only series quarterlife, and will begin airing full episodes mid-season. It’s like My So-Called Life after college, but with less flannel and more ironic shirts.

ABC has ordered a full season of Dirty Sexy Money. But, if the writers’ strike continues, the episodes will just be photographs of muddy dollar bills laid on the floor in suggestive shapes. Oh behave, you dirty, sexy money!

•And speaking of the strike, studios and networks will resume negotiations with striking writers on Nov. 26. You couldn’t write a better Christmas miracle! (Mostly, because the writers are on strike.) Photo: Patrick Harbron/The CW
