• The Emmys are moving from the Shrine Auditorium to the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The opening number will now be set to the tune of the Nokia ringtone.

• Showtime’s series The L Word will come to an end after six seasons, none of which included star Jennifer Beals in her off-the-shoulder Flashdance sweater.

• HBO’s new drama series, The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, will star singer Jill Scott as the owner of Botswanna’s only female-led P.I. shop. Also? It’s the only agency where the detective sings sassy and soulful ballads about falling in and out of love.

Regis Philbin will receive a Lifetime Achievement Emmy. In keeping with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? theme, he’ll have the option of keeping that Emmy, or going for one worth $1 million! Mark Mainz/Getty
