• From soap star to terminator! All My Children‘s Leven Rambin, who plays both Lily and her wild sister Ava, will be a series regular on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles when season two begins. Rambin will play Riley, a new school friend of John’s. And her evil robot twin who wakes from a coma.

That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama is working with FOX again on a pilot called The Emancipation of Ernesto. The show is about an L.A.-man searching for his father — while making “yo mama” jokes.

• Also getting a new pilot, Matthew Perry has cut a deal with Showtime for The End of Steve, about an “egomaniacal local talk show host who is on a reluctant path to redemption,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. Reached for reaction, Steves everywhere said, “No comment.”

• The premiere of America’s Got Talent was NBC’s highest-rated premiere this summer with 12.8 million viewers tuning in to see a 4-year-old sing, brothers play the violin and an 80-year-old tap dance, proving America’s got nothing to do but stay home and watch TV. Joe Kohen/WireImage
