•The controversy continues for Kid Nation, which has been slammed by animal rights groups for last week’s on-air slaughtering of two chickens. It’s also been slammed by human rights groups, as viewers watching the show are victims of cruel and unusual punishment.

•Children on Supernanny are often forced to cry. (They’re told they’re being sent to Kid Nation.) •ABC is working on a retooled version of Cupid, the short-lived sitcom starring Jeremy Piven as a man who thought he was the legendary god who helped find love by hugging it out.

The Sopranos actress Lorraine Bracco will star in the pilot for a new Lifetime series, Long Island Confidential. Gosh, we hope she can nail that whole “Noo Yawk aksent.”
