Set your clocks, Transparent fans and newbies alike: There are exactly 22 days left to binge (or re-binge) the show’s first season before the Pfefferman family returns.

To whet your appetite, PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly have the exclusive trailer for the Amazon show’s second season, which will pick up in the wake of the emotionally tumultuous season 1 finale.

Centered on Jeffrey Tambor‘s Maura Pfefferman and her late-in-life transition from male to female, the Emmy-winning series also addresses the failings and shortcomings of her three children (played by Gaby Hoffmann, Amy Landecker and Jay Duplass), as well as the ways their lives are just as intimately complicated and contradictory as Maura’s.

In season 2, Maura continues to navigate becoming a woman, opting to pursue breast enhancement surgery but hesitating at the idea of gender reassignment. Meanwhile, her children remain as self-obsessed and flippant as ever, delivering a slew of hilarious one-liners that have become the show’s signature.

But as the individual characters’ personal lives slowly unravel, they’re also able to find strength in one another and in their unshakable familial bond.

The new season looks to be packed with of tears, laughter and self-discovery – oh, and, of course, the finer points of how to properly pronounce “Yaass queen.
