Tori Roloff Reveals to Father-in-Law Matt How Many Children She's Hoping for in 'LPBW' Sneak Peek

Tori is expecting her first child with husband Zach Roloff in May 2017

Babies are on the brain in the Roloff family!

In an exclusive sneak peek at Tuesday night’s episode of Little People Big World, patriarch Matt Roloff spends some quality time with his daughter-in-law Tori at lunch, where the topic of children comes up.

“So, happy anniversary! You guys hit your one year,” Matt congratulates Tori, who is married to his son, Zach. “How many kids are you guys talking about?”

“Depends on if you ask me or if you ask Zach,” Tori explains with a laugh. “I say two, he says four, so we’re thinking we’ll meet in the middle and go three.”

The Roloff Farms owner, who has four children of his own, advises Tori, “Yeah, don’t go over four. Your odds are you’re going to have a bad apple in there.”

And now that Tori and her husband are expecting their own little bundle of joy, due in May 2017, dad-to-be Zach just might put into practice some of the things his own father did with his siblings growing up, including making up stories at bedtime.

“When they were little babies, I would crawl in bed with them — putting them to bed — and I would make up stories on the fly, so I have very, very, extraordinarily fond memories of that and how Zach would say, ‘Continue, continue!’ and I would have to say, ‘No, time to go to bed’ because I had to go think about what the next part of the story was,” Matt says in the clip about the stories his son used to love hearing as a child.

“Zach definitely talked about them all the time,” mom-to-be Tori tells Matt.

In November, PEOPLE exclusively reported that the TLC couple is pregnant with their first child. “We are super excited and can’t wait to be parents,” they said.

“I’ll be a fun, hands on dad, but also the disciplinarian,” Zach said, and added, “Tori will be a loving mother hen.”

Little People Big World airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
