The Grammy-nominated pop star sang her song “Hollow” with Jeffery Austin from Gwen Stefani‘s team in December. “I saw Tori performing on the VMAS playing guitar and singing,” Levine, 36, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “It was so incredibly refreshing and inspiring to see her up there doing her thing, so I called her up and asked her if she would join me on The Voice.” The singer will be in good company. Joining her as advisors for the show are Patti LaBelle for Christina Aguilera, Stefani for her boyfriend Blake Shelton and Diddy for Pharrell Williams. The Voice premieres Feb. 29 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
