Tina Fey, Amy Poehler Debut Off-Key Golden Globes Musical Promo
The Saturday Night Live alums will reprise their roles as hosts of this year's show
Songbirds, they’re not.
But Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are already practicing their act, releasing a decidedly off-key tune (watch it here) as they make comic preparations for the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards, set for Jan. 12.
The SNL alumni made last year’s show a memorable and bawdy one as hosts, sipping on cocktails from the stage and making fun of TV and film stars, including George Clooney and Taylor Swift, with razor-sharp digs.
The 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation stars are returning this year, teasing their appearance in a clip aired during last night’s live Sound of Music Live show. They tout their musical prowess from behind a white baby grand piano in a reckless duet, premiering the Globes’ opening song, which Fey claims they’ve written.
You can catch their fine-tuned performance when this year’s show from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association airs on NBC at 8 p.m. ET Jan. 12.
