Cheaters never win – well, unless you’re The Roots that is.

During the second edition of The Tonight Show Family Feud, guest (and host of the actual game show) Steve Harvey hosted the face-off between “the Fallon family” and “The Roots family.”

The Roots’ team, which included band members Questlove, Tariq and James Poyser, took the immediate lead with question “What’s a nickname you might call your spouse?,” but only after Jimmy Fallon won points with “boo boo kitty.”

Fallon’s team – Sleeping with Other People‘s Alison Brie and Tonight Show announcer Steve Higgins – lost the first round, shortly after the Saturday Night Live alum tried to answer questions in the iconic Jeopardy format.

Family Feud is the new number one game show in the country today,” Harvey asserted to Fallon, adding, “You ain’t the only one with a hot show.”

The Roots were ultimately victorious in the match up, but only after Tariq whispered an answer to teammate Poyser.

“There’s a lot of people in the band, why is his a– out here,” Harvey asked Questlove after catching Tariq in the act.

Regardless, the band swept the board.
