The people have finally gotten their first dose of The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and there were Kardashians, accusations and plenty of quotable moments packed into the 80-minute broadcast.

Both viewers and critics have responded with rave reviews so far for the show, which chronicles the O.J. Simpson murder trial. For those who can’t wait a week for the next episode, here are the premiere’s top moments to help tide you over.

Who would have thought a dog would be the first sign of trouble.

And it gets worse from there.

In case you didn’t realize O.J. was a larger-than-life character – he keeps a statue of himself outside his home.

O.J. is miles away in Chicago the night of his wife’s murder – but it’s very suspicious that he doesn’t ask the police how she died.

Marcia Clark (Sarah Paulson) may not know who O.J. is (or that rushing 2,000 yards in as season is a big deal), but she knows his posh neighborhood isn’t known for murder.

O.J. is surprised with by handcuffs, which prove to be a key event in the battle for public opinion.

Before teaming up with Simpson, Johnny Cochran (Courtney B. Vance) is fighting the good fight for a victim of police brutality – and he doesn’t have time for people who won’t join him.

O.J. surprises Nicole Brown’s friends by showing up at her funeral.

We already know her ex Robert Kardashian (David Schwimmer) doesn’t want to believe his friend Juice is guilty … but Kris Jenner (Selma Blair) isn’t so sure…

Faye Resnick, on the other hand, is sure.

And in end, O.J. slips out before the cops arrive … and we know where this is going.

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story airs Tuesdays (10 p.m. ET) on FX.
