Katie Holmes Stuns as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on Her Wedding Day in The Kennedys: After Camelot
Holmes first played Jackie Kennedy in the 2011 series The Kennedys
Katie Holmes is a vision in white.
Holmes was recently photographed on set while filming scenes for the upcoming tv miniseries The Kennedys: After Camelot wearing a stunning white wedding dress.
The 37-year-old bears an uncanny resemblance to the iconic first lady Jacqueline Kennedy, whom she previously played in The Kennedys in 2011.
In the photos, Holmes is seen alongside actor and costar Alexander Siddig, playing the role of Jackie O.’s second husband and Greek shipping mogul Aristotle Onassis, as they reenact one of the biggest events in the couple’s lives.
The pictures from the set of the 1968 wedding show a strikingly similar resemblance of Katie Holmes to Jackie O., wearing almost an exact replica of the former First Lady’s famous Valentino wedding dress.
Also in attendance at the wedding party was Holmes’ daughter Suri Cruise, 10, with whom she twirled and danced between takes.
“Katie is brave, committed and perfect for this role,” said Reelz CEO Stan E. Hubbard, prior to filming. “She is a strong, talented woman who understands how special and respected Jackie Kennedy, and then Jackie Onassis, was as an international icon.”
The miniseries is based on the bestselling book After Camelot: A Personal History of the Kennedy Family 1968 to the Present by biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli and will be airing in 2017.
