Andi Dorfman's Bachelorette Blog: 'Who Wouldn't Be Scared to Face a Bunch of Exes?'
The former assistant district attorney discusses the Men Tell All episode
Andi Dorfman is the Bachelorette! After a dramatic exit from Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor, the former assistant district attorney, who lives in Atlanta, is searching for love once again on ABC’s hit franchise. Andi, 27, is blogging for PEOPLE.com every week about the men, the dates and the difficult decisions she’s making on her road to romance. So check back each week. You can also follow Andi on Twitter.
I can’t believe I am already writing about the “Men Tell All” episode! It feels like just yesterday that I was meeting these men as they stepped out of the limo for the very first time.
I have to admit I was definitely scared to see all the guys. I mean, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t be scared to face a bunch of exes all at once all in the same room? And, oh yeah, all in front of a live audience!
Andi Can’t Wait to Watch Marquel and Cody on Bachelor in Paradise
For each of the guys, there was a reason why our relationship didn’t work out, and I think “Men Tell All” is the perfect place to give the guys closure.
Believe me, I know I had the best guys ever, and for most of these great guys, the romance just wasn’t there. Guys like Marquel and Cody, for example, were always on the friend level, even though I could obviously see what great catches they were. I am beyond thrilled to watch both of them on Bachelor in Paradise.
Then there is a guy like Marcus, who did everything right, but other relationships were just stronger. He’s the perfect example of how everything can be great on paper, but it doesn’t always equal great love. It was important to me for Marcus to know that I wasn’t scared by how early he declared his feelings for me. I loved hearing Marcus say that he believed that if you love somebody, you should tell her every day, and I hope he never changes. Whoever ends up with him next will be one lucky lady.
Chris Is Ever the Gentleman
It was great to see Chris again, and he remained the gentleman that he was throughout the entire season. I wanted Chris to know that the reason I sent him home was not only because I didn’t see myself in Iowa, but also because I didn’t see a foundation with us. I believe that if you have the love, you can live anywhere, and I have no doubt Chris will find a love to bring back to Iowa. Who knows, maybe it’s that superfan who jumped on stage, ha ha!
I have to admit I was not expecting Chris Harrison to pull out the lie detector results from Italy! That’s the one moment I’ve kept thinking and thinking about! Major props to Dylan for laughing everything off with his bottle of sanitizer. I was also very proud of Marcus for not revealing his number. I know the audience really wanted to read Josh’s results, but I really trust both of my final men, so I definitely didn’t want to see the results. That was, again, a hard decision, but I think a right decision.
All in all, the guys from this season were true class acts, and I think you saw that on “Men Tell All.” So many times, you see the men harboring resentment and animosity, but this group of gentlemen was above that, and I am truly grateful for them. I feel incredibly lucky to have had such an incredible group of guys, and I know that they will each find love in the future.
I couldn’t finish my blog without sending all my love to JP & Ashley! I’m so excited for them and wish them nothing but the best. Congrats on finding out that it’s a boy!
Next week is the season finale, and my dad, Hy, is back! I can’t wait for everyone to watch as my family meets the final two men. But better yet, I can’t wait for everyone to see how this journey comes to an incredible end! You won’t want to miss it! So readers, who do you think it will be? Nick or Josh?
Thanks for reading!
