Even a casual viewer of The Bachelorette could see there was no love lost between Shawn Booth and runner-up Nick Viall. “Nick and I are different people,” Booth, 29, tells PEOPLE exclusively. The personal trainer, who got engaged to Kaitlyn Bristowe on the show’s finale, says he consistently felt that Viall’s intentions on the show weren’t honorable. “Especially [watching the show as it aired], sitting back and watching him say stuff about me he would never be man enough to come to my face and say,” he says. For her part, Bristowe, 30, admits she was falling for Viall during the show, but she says her emotions for him never reached the level of those she had for Booth. “You have those loving feelings, but at the end of the day, I picture the rest of my life with one person,” she says. “It didn’t really matter at the end of the day who was there, because it wasn’t going to compare [to Shawn].” And after Bristowe and Viall were intimate following a one on one date, the former dance instructor says she was even more certain of her feelings for Booth. “I clearly felt guilty about it,” Bristowe says. “And as weird as it is, it made me realize how much I card about Shawn because I was like, ‘I don’t feel right.’ ” Bristowe and Booth came face to face with Viall at the After the Final Rose taping Monday, over two months since they’d last seen each other, and for now, they all say they’re set on burying the hatchet. But I have no animosity toward Shawn. I really do wish he and Kaitlyn the best.” Says Booth: “I’m glad we ended everything, which we wanted to do. I wish him the best. We just want to move forward.” However, he jokes, “I don’t think you’ll ever see us go and grab a beer together!” For much more from Kaitlyn and Shawn, including exclusive photos, pick up the new issue of PEOPLE, on stands Friday
