Things are going to get emotional on Monday’s Bachelorette finale.

In a sneak peek at the episode, one of JoJo Fletcher‘s final two suitors, Robby Hayes, takes a moment to ask Fletcher’s parents for their daughter’s hand in marriage – and his words bring Mom to tears.

“I have a really important question to ask JoJo’s father,” Hayes says before sitting down with Fletcher’s mother and father. “I want to ask for his blessing in marrying her, but I included her mother.”

Hayes, a former competitive swimmer, then launches into his speech.

“I’m here for Joelle, and I’m not going anywhere and she knows that,” he says. “She means the world to me and I can sit here and honestly tell you both that she will be my number one priority in all of life and in everything I do.”

Addressing Fletcher’s father, Hayes continues: “Dr. Fletcher, in asking for your blessing to marry Joelle today, I don’t just want her hand in marriage,” he says as Fletcher’s mother gets emotional. “I want all that is Joelle Hannah Fletcher, because you guys have raised such a special girl.”

“If I’m fortunate enough to receive that blessing, I can promise you both to protect her, to care for her, to love her for my entire life and commitment is a lifetime thing,” adds Hayes. “It will be in that blessing and through that commitment that I would be honored to be part of your family.”

Fans are still dying to find out whether Fletcher chooses Hayes or Jordan Rodgers – but either way, we know she’ll be saying goodbye to a man that she loves.

The Bachelorette finale airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the live After the Final Rose special at 10 p.m. ET, both on ABC.
