With last season’s Bachelorette Emily Maynard happily coupled off, it’s about time to start weighing in on picks for the next Bachelor!

Sean Lowe, Maynard’s sweet, upbeat finalist (who was shocked when she dumped him), has been widely rumored to be in line for the job.

But he’s not the only one: Olympic star swimmer Ryan Locthe – who’s been spotted partying in Beverly Hills and Las Vegas post-Games – is also reportedly in the running.

We can only imagine the water-related dates that the hot tub-happy Bachelor folks will conjure up if Lochte is their man. But Lowe also seems to be an appropriate choice, given his popularity with viewers and the franchise’s penchant for recycling contestants. There was previously speculation that Maynard’s other foiled finalist, Arie Luyendyk, was being considered as well.

On Wednesday, show host Chris Harrison Tweeted “I feel a #Bachelor decision coming soon!!!”

So, should it be the very athletic (but not so articulate) Lochte? Or the familiar, heartbroken Lowe?
