Nick Viall on Being The Bachelor: 'It's a Huge Responsibility – There's No Guarantees'
Nick Viall is excited for his chance at finding love, but he knows "there's no guarantees"
Nick Viall is ready to find love again, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a bit nervous over the possible outcome.
On Thursday, the hopeful bachelor stopped by Good Morning America to talk about his upcoming stint on the hit reality show.
“At first I was like, ‘Really? Come on,’ ” he said of getting that phone call from producers. “It took me a couple of days, I told them I needed to think about it. They didn’t ask me too long ago.”
“I didn’t have a lot of time to think about it,” Viall added. “It’s a huge responsibility but obviously an amazing opportunity.”

After getting dumped twice on The Bachelorette, the 35-year-old Wisconsin native admitted to feeling a bit of pressure to find “the one.”
“It’s a huge responsibility and there’s a lot of expectations that comes with it,” he said. “There’s also no guarantees, right? I think everyone knows that you get to be the bachelor and you get to meet 25 at least amazing women, but you just never know if you’re going to connect with them. Maybe you really like someone who doesn’t feel the same way back … You never know.”

There’s at least one person excited for Viall’s journey, Bachelor host Chris Harrison.
“So many names get thrown around and at the end of the day, as producers, we have to try and think and decide what’s best for the franchise and who is the most deserving and sincere person,” he told PEOPLE. “At the end of the day, we all looked around the table and nobody could say it wasn’t Nick. You can’t shoot holes at the fact that he is just the most deserving and sincere person.”
Viall’s season of The Bachelor will premiere in January on ABC.
