The Bachelor‘s Women Tell All is no stranger to dramatic moments, but even the live audience was shocked when, after Demi Burnett and Courtney Curtis had plenty of harsh words for the other during the season, things finally came to a head when Curtis shoved a baby’s pacifier into Burnett’s mouth.

“I thought it was insane,” says Burnett, 23, who was accused by Curtis on the show of immature behavior.

“I immediately went to start swinging but I was like, stop it Demi, this is not Jerry Springer, calm down,” says Burnett. Instead, “I was so mad, I chucked it at her head!”

Still, Burnett says she won’t dwell on the incident. “I thought it was ridiculous. That was the best thing she could come up with, all these months later? But I don’t care. I’m friends with literally every other person in the house. And I don’t need to give her any more of my time.”

In fact, the actress and model took away much more than a couple tiffs with her fellow Bachelor contestants — she learned a lot about herself.

“I was one of the younger girls and I have a huge personality, so I knew I had a target on my back,” says Burnett of her initial time on the show. “But I stayed true to myself. I knew who I was and I knew that if people thought I was just putting on a show, I’d be able to prove them wrong.”

And ultimately, “the show encouraged me to tap into my vulnerable side,” says Burnett. “I don’t like to tap into it, but I’m glad I did. I don’t want to have to be strong all the time. I feel more comfortable being vulnerable, and I don’t have to be embarrassed about it.”

The Bachelor airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
