They’ve been engaged for just four months, but former Bachelor Ben Higgins and his fiancée Lauren Bushnell have discovered that despite the glamour of dating on a reality show, life off camera is even better.

“Now that I’m out of that world and we’re together and looking at life from here on out, it s a lot easier,” Higgins, 26, tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week’s issue. “[The Bachelor] led me to this woman who I love deeply. She is the only woman I ll love from now on.”

Now the couple, who got engaged on The Bachelor finale Monday night, are busy planning for the future, including Bushnell’s move to Denver.

“It made the most sense for me to move,” says Bushnell, a flight attendant. “And of course Ben, being the sweetest guy, was like, if you don’t like it, we can move! I’m more than excited. We’re starting a life together.”

And learning about some teensy imperfections too. “Apparently I’m a loud breather,” says Higgins with a laugh. Adds Bushnell: “And he’s a morning person. I’m a nothing before 9 a.m. girl. I need coffee immediately before I have a conversation with anybody. And he wakes up cheery and wanting to chitchat!”

PEOPLE’s collector’s edition The Bachelor, with new interviews and updates on your favorite contestants, is on sale now in stores and online!

Playful differences aside, the pair are giddy at the prospect of not having to hide their relationship anymore.

“It’s a celebration,” Higgins says. Adds Bushnell, 26: “It’s like an enormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I just feel so free in a way. The love of my life is right next to me and I don t have to hide it anymore.”
