This season’s Bachelor may be a bachelor no longer. British banker Matt Grant chooses between 22-year-old actress Shayne Lamas and 24-year-old pharmaceutical sales rep Chelsea Wanstrath on the finale of ABC’s The Bachelor: London Calling (airing Monday, May 12, 10 p.m. ET). Before Monday’s big reveal, Grant, 27, spoke to PEOPLE’s Carrie Bell and answered five burning questions:

Are you in love?Definitely. Without a doubt. As far as love at first sight, I am not a big advocate of that. But that said,… when I first saw her I knew I was in trouble in a good way and that it could be the one.

Have you seen your fiance since the show wrapped? We both really pushed for secret rendezvous. We’ve met up loads of times. I didn’t want to fall into this trap. I’d heard that was one of the issues in the past. We have spoken every single day.” Will you really make it to the altar? Will I be the Super Bachelor if I manage to pull it off? I think it would do wonders for Anglo-American relations! But we are both realistic at the end of the day. It is not the ideal way to meet, but we had fun doing it. We are both looking forward to Monday when we can go out together and start life normally. And when the time is right, let’s get to the altar!”

So you are not getting married just to get a green card, right?Oh yeah, because I’m from a third-world country called the United Kingdom. My ex-girlfriend was American… And I work for an American bank as well, so if I wanted to come over here, I could do that. That was the most farcical rubbish I have ever read in my life! I took great offense at that because they were calling me a fraudster. In the U.K., you could sue for that.

What is your ideal wedding day like?I love bright orange. Elton John is going to come in dressed as a giant apricot being pushed along by David Furnish, like an Oompa-Loompa — that would be amazing! But in all seriousness, the churches in the U.K. are amazing on a summer’s day. My best mate from high school got married last year at an amazing English church in this really beautiful green lush village. It was just incredible.
