The Real Housewives of New Jersey star tweeted a message about the pontiff’s trip to New York on Thursday night, writing, “Watching the Pope Francis coverage on TV and I am crying; what a wonderful man, such a kind and gentle soul #Proud Catholic.”

Giudice, 43, is currently serving a 15-month prison sentence, which began on Jan. 5, for fraud.

The reality star has tweeted from prison periodically throughout her sentence, admitting this is a difficult time and thanking her fans for standing by her.

A three-part reality special titled The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In chronicling Giudice’s family’s life at home while she is incarcerated in Connecticut will air this fall.

The spinoff follows her husband Joe, 43, and their four daughters: Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, who recently celebrated her 6th birthday.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In premieres Oct. 11 (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
