Teresa Giudice‘s husband Joe is serving a 41-month jail sentence for fraud, but that isn’t stopping the married couple from making their romance a priority.

“There’s a lot of nasty emails,” she says in the latest issue of PEOPLE. “A lot of sexual emails going back and forth, I’m not even gonna tell you the things he writes to me.”

The pair, who wed in 1999, were both sentenced to prison terms for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud in OctOBER 2014.

First, Teresa, 44, served 11 months at Danburry Correctional Institute; the minimum-security satellite camp for women made popular by Netflix’s Orange is the New Black, while Joe, 44, was allowed to stay home to care for their girls.

After her release in December, the family got to spend three months at home together before Joe then had to turn himself in to serve his nearly 4-year long sentence.”
