On Monday’s episode of OG, Carly’s adoptive mother Teresa calls Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra to set up “an open, honest conversation” about their adoption plan. Nearly five years after Catelynn and Tyler mapped out an open adoption with Teresa and her husband Brandon, Tyler’s frustration over how much he and Catelynn are allowed to visit Carly came to a breaking point in last week’s episode when Tyler explicitly went against the couple’s request not to post pictures of Carly online. Now, hearing that Teresa wants to have a conversation mediated by their social worker in a few weeks, Catelynn can’t help but ask, “Have you guys thought about us getting all together after our conversation, like with Carly?” Though she eventually says yes, Teresa stumbles in affirming her plans to continue a relationship between Catelynn, Tyler and Carly – and it’s heartbreaking on all sides. Catelynn & Tyler on Navigating Adoption, Engagement and a New Baby Catelynn adds that she wants to ask Carly’s parents, “We feel like we’re always sacrificing our feelings and emotions to put ourselves in your shoes, but do you ever do that for us?” Ever level-headed, she also warns Tyler, “And you have to remember not to get heated!” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays (10 p.m. ET) on MTV.
