'Teen Mom' Star Leah Messer's Daughter Admitted to the Hospital: 'Keep Our Girl in Your Prayers'

The reality star's daughter was suffering from an infection that required antibiotic treatments but was continuing to improve and recover

Leah Messer is asking for prayers for her daughter.

On Thursday, the Teen Mom star revealed on Instagram that her youngest daughter Adalynn Faith, 6, was sick and currently in the hospital.

A rep for Messer told PEOPLE that Addie was suffering from an infection, was being treated with antibiotics and monitored closely, but was continuing to improve.

Despite feeling under the weather, Addie kept a smile on her face and appeared to have an upbeat attitude about the situation.

“Even though she’s sick she was making everyone laugh in the ER. WHAT. A. DAY. Keep our girl in your prayers! 🙏🏼” Messer, 26, captioned a series of photos on Instagram of Addie in the hospital bed.

In one shot, Addie smiles up at the camera while wearing a purple gown, blue pants, and a hospital bracelet. In the others, the six-year-old hammed it up as she was swaddled into a white blanket.

Messer also shared a video on her Instagram Stories while the pair spent time in the hospital. “My baby,” she affectionately said in the clip, as she recorded Addie playing a video game.

“Underneath her ear’s swollen, like all of this right here,” Messer explained while reaching out to caress the sides of Addie’s neck near her glands, and her ponytail. “It hurts her.”

The videos were captioned with, “Poor baby. #medexpress”

Messer’s ex-husband Jeremy Calvert, whom she shares Addie with, was also at the hospital to support his daughter. Calvert came in from out of town to meet his ex-wife and daughter at the emergency room, Messer’s rep told PEOPLE.

Calvert, 30, shared a sweet photo from the hospital stay to Instagram featuring him and Addie snuggling in the bed.

“Hospital with this little one all day, I hope my baby girl starts feeling better… #daddysgirl #mybabygirl #addie,” he captioned the adorable shot.

Messer and Calvert married in 2012 and separated in 2015.

The pair ended their relationship after she became stressed when his work began taking him further away from their home. Their relationship ended at the end of season 6 with Calvert filing for divorce.

The former couple have continued to co-parent Addy since.

Messer is also mother to 9-year-old twins Aleeah Grace and Aliannah Hope with ex-husband Corey Simms. Ali has muscular dystrophy — a genetic disease that causes progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass — which has been featured prominently on the show.
