What if Taylor Swift‘s squad of friends – boundless, famous and always having the most fun – was actually evil?

This was the question Saturday Night Live asked in its season premiere episode, envisioning a post-apocalyptic world of abandoned cars and dreary skies, ruled by Swift’s squad, which already includes both Lena Dunham and the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.

Swift “wanted to collect the whole world,” a deep voice intones in the sketch, styled as a movie trailer, “until there was no world left to collect.”

(It started with the famous people first, a shaken-up survivor played by Kenan Thompson recalls. Then it was the “police, fire department – Matt LeBlanc.”)

What do you do once you join #TheSquad? The itinerary is pretty light!

There are American flag towels, always, and some light cardio onstage. As SNLa Swiftie series at heart – reminds us, “She’s actually very generous with her friends.”
