Tamar Braxton Sheds Light on Health Struggles After Dropping Out of Dancing with the Stars: 'My Schedule Is Out of Control'
Season 4 of Tamar & Vince premieres Dec. 10
Tamar Braxton hasn’t had the easiest year.
The singer, ex-Dancing with the Stars contestant and host of The Real has long shown signs she’s been sick. She revealed Monday she had pneumonia but her fans (and DWTS producers) were shocked to learn Wednesday that Braxton, 38, had also been diagnosed with blood clots on her lungs, forcing her to drop out of the reality dance competition.
Now, a preview of Braxton and her husband Vince Herbert’s upcoming fourth season of their reality show Tamar & Vince provides insight into just how exhausting her health issues have been.
“You know when you’re on stage and you don’t see nothing because of the lights? I don’t see nothing because I’m there but not really,” Braxton says in the clip as she is seen looking dizzy on stage.
Braxton spent the last few months balancing her schedule of touring with Mary J. Blige, grueling rehearsals for DWTS, her duties for The Real, working on her new album, and being a wife and mother.
“It’s a lot of pressure,” Braxton admits in the clip. She also says, “My schedule is out of control.”
So when her health became an issue, her husband was understandably concerned.
“You’re sick,” he tells Braxton in the clip.
“No I’m not. I feel amazing,” she replies with a weak voice from underneath a blanket on the couch.
“You don’t want to push it because you don’t want to end up in the hospital,” he responds.
Braxton’s only comeback to her husbands prediction is a cough, but on Nov. 9 the hospital is exactly where she ended up.
Though it appears it may have been a hospital visit on a different day, the preview clip ends with Braxton in a hospital bed.
“Are you okay?” asks her husband.
“I don’t remember none of this,” she responds.
