If you ever wanted to watch an Oscar winner kicking back with her 31-years-younger, pot-smoking boyfriend, now’s your chance.
In an exclusive sneak peek (below) at Connected – which begins streaming on AOL on March 31 – Sarandon, 68, and Bricklin, 37, are seen enjoying a peaceful respite from New York City on lakeside retreat in Maine.
“Wait, I wanna smoke a joint,” says Bricklin in the clip. “I think it goes well with canoeing. I’m a big fan of these rolling papers,” he said, calling them “one of the most brilliant inventions ever – after the canoe. Fire. Fire’s important, too.”
Sarandon, herself, is not seen smoking in the clip, though the joint does get passed to her.
“I think it’s important to go into the canoe,” prompts Sarandon, to which Bricklin bristles over being rushed when they’re just going to “get into the canoe to do nothing.”
Says Sarandon, laughing: “I was just a little bored with your joint dissertation.”
Despite rumors that the filming of the show caused the couple to break up, Bricklin insisted in a statement to PEOPLE that “It’s impossible to concisely characterize our relationship, other than to say that it continues to evolve in new and unexpected ways. She supported my decision to be a part of AOL’s Connected, and making this series about my life has brought up real and somewhat unexplored issues, but it didn’t break us up.”
