Entertainment TV Watch Susan Sarandon and Jimmy Kimmel Recreate the 'Thelma & Louise' Selfie (VIDEO) Unfortunately, even with a denim jacket and wig, Kimmel's no Geena Davis By Alex Heigl Published on July 3, 2014 09:25 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Jimmy Kimmel Live Thelma & Louise was a trailblazing film in a few ways. Aside from its feminist themes and being the one of the first films to realize the appeal of a shirtless Brad Pitt, it also gave the world one of the first iconic selfies of pop culture. And while Susan Sarandon recently posted an updated version of the 1991 film’s snap (below), that didn’t stop Jimmy Kimmel from wanting to create his own version of the pic when Sarandon stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday. Kimmel naturally provided the props, and though the iPhone the pair used on the show is considerably sleeker than the Polaroid used in the film, everything else about the snap is spot on. (Kimmel’s no Geena Davis, though.) Here’s Sarandon’s version – watch the full version of her interview with Kimmel after the pic. Sarandon’s currently starring in Tammy along with Melissa McCarthy – the film is in theaters now. Want more stories like this?
