By the time the castaways get to day 37 on Survivor, everyone is always exhausted. They’re hungry. They smell bad. And they’ve spent more than a month living with people who they may not even like.
But Survivor producers have no mercy and often save the hardest challenges for later in the game. (The Vanuatu vertical maze comes to mind.)
The message is clear: If you’re going to win the $1 million prize, you’ve go to earn it.
PEOPLE has an exclusive sneak peek at the the final four challenge on Wednesday’s episode, and it looks like it would be grueling for a well-fed, well-rested contestant. For these starving people, it’s downright brutal.
Tai, Cydney, Michele and Aubry have to run a complex obstacle course that includes running in knee-deep water, climbing stairs and solving a puzzle at the end.
Seriously, can we just give an Emmy to the challenge designers? They have brought it for 32 seasons.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. These castaways have played the game extremely hard – and any of them deserve to win the game. Cydney and Tai have both turned on alliances to get themselves further in the game. Aubry has played every social situation perfectly, holding her alliance together. Michele has successfully scrambled when her back was against the wall.
So who will win the immunity challenge – and the million dollar prize?
The Survivor: Kaoh Rong finale airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
