Sterling K. Brown Is Joining The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3: 'Some Pretty Marvelous News'
"I'm beyond excited to share some pretty marvelous news," Sterling K. Brown announced
The This Is Us star announced in an Instagram video Monday that he’s not going to be in “sunny” Southern California “for long” as he’s “eastward bound” to film the Amazon Prime series.
“Going to do a little show, maybe you’ve heard of it. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” Brown, 43, said with a laugh before giving thanks to co-writers and executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino. “The Palladinos were kind enough to write a little something for your boy and I said yes.”
“So stay tuned,” he continued. “I’m getting together with Midge and it’s going to be awesome.”
He captioned the post, “I’m beyond excited to share some pretty marvelous news… #MrsMaisel, I’m coming for you!🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 @MaiselTV @AmazonPrimeVideo.”
After sharing the exciting casting news, Brown’s This Is Us castmates celebrated his new role.
“Ooooooohhh yesssss!🙌🏻❤️🎉,” wrote Chrissy Metz, while Mandy Moore commented, “❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼.”
Brown, who stars as Randall Pearson on This Is Us, will be joining season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
The Amazon Prime series, starring Rachel Brosnahan, Tony Shalhoub and Alex Borstein, is the winner of eight Emmy Awards, including outstanding comedy series.
