The Hills' Stephanie Pratt Planning 'Romantic Weekend' with Bachelor in Paradise's Derek Peth
The reality stars were set up by The Bachelorette's Wells Adams
The two were first set up on a blind date by Wells Adams, Pratt’s co-host on iHeartRadio’s Pratt Cast who appeared on The Bachelorette alongside Peth in 2016. Their first date was in Los Angeles on St. Patrick’s Day — and Pratt was almost an hour and a half late. And while Peth expected the MTV star to be “very nose-in-the-air,” she actually made a great first impression.
“It took a bit to warm her up but I was really pleasantly surprised, I will say,” Peth, 32, revealed to Wells on the March 18 episode of the podcast. “She’s a lot smarter than I thought. She’s quippy and quick. Maybe it’s because we’ve both learned to be so open with our lives but there was like, not an empty, dull moment.”
On the March 25 episode of the podcast, Pratt, 32, admitted that while Peth isn’t her “type,” she was equally pleased with how the date went.
“We had a really good conversation. He’s really interesting. We were laughing,” she said. “It was great. He’s a great guy.”
“He is everything a man in his 30s should be,” she continued. “He has his own job, he’s confident, he has a credit card, he talks about his family, he’s into family, he talks about his friends, he has friends. [He’s] very career-driven [and] super honest about the shows that he was on and his past. Just normal. Didn’t care about social media. He just had it all going on for him. Good teeth, pretty eyes, great outfit.”
And it looks like things have only heated up from there. On Monday’s episode of the podcast, Pratt revealed that the two are planning a trip to Napa Valley together.
“We got off to a rocky start but we’ve been texting and he’s actually flying in this weekend,” she said. “This is going to be a romantic weekend.”
Pratt will next be seen on The Hills reboot coming to MTV this summer. She admitted on the podcast that she’s “scared to get into a relationship” because of her reputation as the “single girl.”
“I’m scared that’s going to change how people look at me or, you know, my role on The Hills,” she said. “I like being the single girl on the show. I’m just worried that things will change. … I’m always the single girl. … It is a role and it’s very deep-set in its ways.”
The Hills: New Beginnings premieres June 24 on MTV.
