SNL's Pete Davidson Posts Moving Tribute to Firefighter Dad Killed in 9/11: 'Can't Wait to See You Again'
Saturday Night Live performer Pete Davidson was just 7 years old when his firefighter father was killed in the terrorist attacks on 9/11, and the comedian posted a moving series of tweets about his late father Friday, on the 14th anniversary of his death.
His first message began, “Can’t believe its been 14 years” and then ended with an outlandish joke.
Davidson then posted a string of Tweets including old photos of him and his father, Scott, together, and in honor of the work of those firefighters who lost their lives that day.
Davidson, 21, inherited his dad’s sense of humor, friends and former colleagues told the New York Post; and Scott was described as a doting parent.

Davidon’s commemoration was met with love from several celebrity friends, including Mae Whitman and SNL colleagues Vanessa Bayer and Aidy Bryant.
Davidson welcomed the response, Tweeting: “Thank you so much for all the support today you guys. I really appreciate it. I’m a very lucky guy.”
