Gov. Chris Christie stunned the political world by endorsingDonald Trump for president, soon after he dropped out of the race – and then Christie stunned TV audiences while appearing at Trump’s post-Super Tuesday rally, where he looked … more than a little uncomfortable.

People speculated: Was he really upset with Trump? He had realized “what he’d done” with his endorsement? Was he a hostage? Was it indigestion?

Saturday Night Live‘s cold open during this weekend’s episode took all that subtext to the surface, with Bobby Moynihan as Christie, wearing the face of someone who has coughed and sneezed at the same time.

Labeled a “sad desperate little potato” by Darrell Hammond‘s Trump, he replied, “Yes sir, thank you sir, please sir, may I have another” – not once, but twice.

SNL‘s Trump had other things to worry about in the skit, such as his big victory, how everyone loved him: “Racists, ugly racists, people who didn’t even know they were racists.”

Though no topic was more important than himself: “P.S. America: I have a great big huge d—.”
