'Sister Wives' ' Meri Brown on Kody's Quickie Divorce and Wedding to Fourth Wife Robyn: 'It's Just Weird'

"I'm trying not be caught up in the emotions of it," Meri says to Kody in the show's season premiere

As Kody Brown plans his wedding to fourth wife Robyn, one member of the Sister Wives polygamist family isn’t happy about their walk down the aisle.

“It’s just weird,” Meri says to Kody and Robyn in an exclusive sneak peek at Sunday’s season premiere.

“I’ve just been trying so hard to be there and do this whole team thing and not be caught up in the emotions of it, and I shocked myself by having so much emotion.”

Kody officially divorced his first wife Meri then married fourth wife Robyn in an attempt to make sure her three children from a previous marriage – Dayton, 15, Aurora, 12, and Breanna, 9 – could have the same access to Kody’s insurance and benefits as the rest of the Brown children.

While the decision was made as a family, Meri admits it hasn’t exactly been easy.

“I don’t really think I really want to know when you do it,” she says of the upcoming wedding.

“But I want you there,” Robyn responds. “This act isn’t an act of separation, it’s an act of unity. I was thinking it would be cool to have the kids there. This is about them. This isn’t about Kody and I.”

Sister Wives premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
