Sexiest Man Alive Idris Elba to Host Saturday Night Live for the First Time

The 2018 Sexiest Man Alive is poised to make his Saturday Night Live debut.

The NBC sketch comedy series announced Wednesday on Twitter that Idris Elba will host the show for the first time on March 9, when he’ll be joined by musical guest Khalid. (It’s also an SNL first for Khalid.)

Elba, 46, is promoting his starring role in Netflix’s comedy series Turn Up Charlie, which premieres March 15.

SNL will return with new episodes on March 2, when comedian and former writer for the show John Mulaney will host for the second time. He’ll be joined by musical guest Thomas Rhett.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays (11:30 p.m. ET) on NBC.
