Selma Blair on Playing Kris Jenner in American Crime Story: Reality Matriarch Is 'a Part of All of Our Lives'
The Cruel Intentions star told PEOPLE that Jenner is "a very strong person"
“It makes me sound so creepy, because I gush about Kris all the time and it sounds like I’m stalking [her],” Blair said Friday at a Tiffany & Co. party in Los Angeles, celebrating the release of Liz Goldwyn’s new book, Sporting Guide. “But people have been asking me, so it’s not like I’m just volunteering my undying love for Kris.”
For the record: Blair, 43, does think Jenner, 59, is “a very strong person and I’m happy to be associated with her in any way.”
What’s more, Blair said she hardly had to hunt for material when tapping into her inner momager.
“I think we all have Kris Jenner osmosis, so it’s not too hard,” she said. “She’s a part of all of our lives somehow.”
That’s not a bad, thing either. Blair told PEOPLE she was a fan of Keeping Up with the Kardashians before she got the part in FX’s new anthology series, whose first season will follow the O.J. Simpson murder trial.
“I genuinely think that they’re a family that loves each other, and I find them to be very comforting TV,” she said, adding, “I think the whole family has changed the face of Earth.”
