Good morning, Mr. President.

Scandal‘s Tony Goldwyn, who plays President Fitzgerald Grant on the ABC hit political drama, took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to share a sleepy video with fans.

“Okay, first day directing 502,” said Goldwyn in the video, lying in bed in a dark room. “Got to get up.”

“Looks bad if the director’s late,” he wrote as the caption. Goldwyn, 55, is directing episode 2 of the show’s fifth season, which will air in September. “Even if he’s the president. #5candal. #ScandalABC.”

The actor is also taking over the official Scandal Instagram account (@ScandalABC) to share exclusive images.

“Join me and we #Gladiate together!” wrote Goldwyn in another post promoting the social media takeover.

This isn’t the first time the actor is stepping behind the camera: Goldwyn has already directed three episodes for the ABC drama, one in 2013 and two in 2014.
