Scandal Might Have Killed off [Spoiler]: Twitter Goes Berserk
At the end of “I’m Just a Bill,” with a fan favorite’s fate hanging in the balance, the Internet (egged on by Scandal‘s social media-savvy stars and producers) did what it does best: Hit the panic button.
Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen the latest episode: Pivotal plot details will be revealed.
Yes, Gladiators, the end of the hour found Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) stabbed and apparently dead at the hands of Olivia Pope’s (Kerry Washington) new man (Brian J. White) – all of which was, as ever, orchestrated by Papa Pope (Joe Morton).
Though clues have already emerged to imply that Jake will make it to next week (keep reading), what does that matter when fans can absolutely FREAK OUT? Below, we’ve compiled some of the best instant reactions.
Foley himself even sent a Tweet that, though it seems like a goodbye, doesn’t necessarily confirm his character’s departure (note the present tense).
As fans have already started pointing out, pictures from next week’s episode, “First Lady Sings the Blues,” imply that Jake is not only alive but being tended to by Liv. Sorry, Olitz shippers, Olake still appears to be a thing.
Of course, that doesn’t mean many Gladiators aren’t still completely devastated.
Scandal airs Thursdays (9 p.m. ET) on ABC.
